Legal consultation
UBA-CELS Human Rights Legal Clinic
Consultations and advise are provided free of charge on Tuesdays and Fridays, from 4 to 6 pm, at CELS’ offices, Piedras 547, 1st floor, Buenos Aires.
Individuals interested in using the service are advised to call in advance to arrange an appointment by calling (5411)4334-4200. People who are unable to come to the CELS offices for a well established reason may call for a telephone consultation on Tuesdays and Fridays from 4 to 6 pm, send and e-mail to comunicacion@cels.org.ar, or a letter by mail to Piedras 547 1 piso, Buenos Aires C1070AAJ, Argentina.
Refugees and Immigrants Clinic
It provides free legal advice and receives enquiries on migration proceedings and/or asylum requests and in cases of violation or deprivation of rights as a result of the condition of being an immigrant or refugee. Consultations are received on Mondays and Thursdays, from 4 to 6 pm, at CAREF’s offices, Juan Bautista Alberdi 2236/40. We recommend setting up an appointment in advance by calling (5411) 46136162/4992. No appointment is required in case of urgent situations: (expulsions from the country, health cases, deadlines or other contingencies). The Clinic also provides training to other organizations and in neighborhoods with a large foreign population.
