Canceled memory: the libertarian attempt to re-legitimize the dictatorship

The decision to cancel policies of memory, truth, and justice has been part of the current argentine government’s agenda since the electoral campaign. With the passing months, this goal translated into actions: defunding and closing lines of work, official statements that vindicate clandestine and illegal repression and also visits to military leaders convicted of torture and murder.

CELS and Memoria Abierta have prepared a new special report where we offer five highlights of the government actions and suspended policies which will cause incalculable damage.

The re-legitimization of state terrorism seeks to enable current repression. Its consequences are also immeasurable.
